​Job Summary




We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who's passionate about delivering comprehensive outpatient primary care to patients. As a valued team member, you'll provide expert medical care to individuals aged twenty-one and younger in a diverse, community-centered healthcare setting.




Responsibilities

Daily Job Duties:
  • Conduct thorough examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for pediatric patients.
  • Collaborate as a pediatric consultant for cases referred within the clinic.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records in compliance with established protocols.
  • Ensure continuity of care in outpatient management.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Medical Director or executive leadership.




Coaching/Training:
  • Provide insightful in-service training on Pediatric topics for staff when required.
  • Ensure a high-quality educational experience for medical students and residents in training roles.




Operations:
  • Actively engage in internal quality control audits.
  • Meet productivity and quality metrics established for the role.




Compliance:
  • Practice in alignment with regulatory protocols, including Delegation Protocol/Collaborative Practice Agreements.
  • Attend meetings, workshops, and conferences as necessary.
  • Maintain core clinical competencies and uphold Quality Standards.




Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Extensive knowledge of medical principles and practices, with a focus on community medicine.
  • Ability to relate effectively to a diverse patient population.
  • Understanding of factors influencing public health and patient well-being.
  • Dedication to supporting the mission and patient community.
  • Strong communication and professionalism, both internally and externally.
  • Capability to work autonomously with high self-motivation in an electronic health records environment.
  • Flexibility for travel between clinic locations as required.




Required Experience, Education, and License:
  • Current Texas Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (PNP).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Minimum of one to two years of nursing experience.




Preferred(NOT NECESSARY) Experience, Education, and License:
  • Three years' experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in a clinical healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and MS Office Suite.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are advantageous.
