Location: Berkeley, California

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

On-Call: One weekend a month for potential phone consultations

About the Role




As the SCU Program Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our mobile crisis response team, bringing vital mental health services directly to those in need. This role offers a unique opportunity to:



  • Lead a dynamic team of mental health professionals in real-time crisis intervention
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, hospitals, and community organizations
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance our mobile crisis response
  • Make a tangible difference in the lives of Berkeley residents during their most challenging moments




What You'll Do



  • Manage daily operations of our mobile crisis unit, ensuring rapid and effective response
  • Train and supervise a team of crisis intervention specialists
  • Collaborate with community partners to create a seamless support network
  • Develop innovative approaches to crisis de-escalation and mental health support
  • Advocate for mental health awareness and improved crisis response in Berkeley
  • Analyze program data to continuously improve our services and reach

  • Reducing unnecessary hospitalizations and police interventions

Ideal Background



  • Licensed therapist (LMFT, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist) in California
  • Experience in crisis intervention or emergency mental health services
  • Passion for community-based mental health care
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stress situations
