Summary: The Chief Fiscal Officer is responsible for establishing and maintain a complex integrated system of financial staff services that contribute to effective management control over facility operations, The CFO is responsible for fund maintenance of programs, appropriateness of expenditures, and ensuring the fiscal integrity of all financial records at the Health Center.
Compensation and Benefits:
$110K-160K, DOE

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.Â

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervise accounting and the billing staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.

Computer Skills: Office suite software, Medical Software
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Education:
Bachelor of Science Accountancy or related discipline. Master level in Accountancy preferred.
Â
Experience:
Extensive skill, knowledge, and experience are needed for this occupation. Many require more than five years of experience. For example, surgeons must complete four years of college and an additional five to seven years of specialized medical training to be able to do their job.
Â
Certificates and Licenses:
Must maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.Â
- Exercise effective control over the financial resources of the Health Center.
- Coordinate and synthesize financial and management data to interpret the composite financial results of operations to all levels of the organization’s management.
- Analyze operations to evaluate performance of a company or its staff in meeting objectives or to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change
- Prepare budgets for approval, including those for funding or implementation of programs.
- Advise and assist management officials of the Health Center by supplying fiscal management advice required to make management decisions, establish organization goals and objectives, and in all respects to manage the financial management of the Health Center.
- Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain an integrated system of financial services to include budgeting, management-financial reporting and auditing.
- Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Â Fund maintenance of programs, appropriateness of expenditures, and ensuring the fiscal integrity of all financial records at the Health Center.
- Review, analyze, evaluate and report program accomplishments in financial terms.
- Advising on, developing coordinating, and carrying out financial policies, procedures and plans.
- Other duties that relate to the financial stability and management of the Health Center.
