Job Title: Psychiatrist

Location: Pittsburg, PA

Job Type: Full-Time




Position Summary:

Pittsburg Community Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our integrated care team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the mission of MCHC by providing high-quality, patient-centered mental health services. The Psychiatrist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing mental health conditions while coordinating care within a multidisciplinary health center. This role also involves ensuring compliance with clinical standards, protocols, and regulations while contributing to an inclusive and supportive care environment.




Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for patients across the lifespan.
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in alignment with best practices and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, and administrative teams to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills when working with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of clinical policies, workflows, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Respond effectively to emergency or crisis situations within the scope of licensure.
  • Stay current with industry standards, practices, and continuing education in psychiatry and mental health.




Qualifications:
  • M.D. or D.O. from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure to practice Psychiatry in the State of Pennsylvania.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clinical or community health setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including accreditation standards.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and general office technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical scenarios and maintain confidentiality.
  • Passion for serving underserved populations and working in an inclusive, team-based environment.
