Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Medicine Doctor to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals in Georgetown. As a Family Medicine Doctor, you will be pivotal in delivering patient-centered care to individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and lives of the community members we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Care:
    • Provide primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care, to patients of all ages.
    • Conduct thorough physical examinations, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results to formulate accurate diagnoses.
    • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle recommendations.
    • Manage chronic conditions, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
    • Promote and administer vaccinations to ensure patient health and prevent the spread of infectious diseases.

  2. Patient-Centered Approach:
    • Build strong doctor-patient relationships based on trust, respect, and effective communication.
    • Actively listen to patients' concerns and address their physical, emotional, and social needs.
    • Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
    • Empower patients to actively participate in their healthcare decisions and self-management.

  3. Collaboration and Teamwork:
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, and other specialists, to provide comprehensive care.
    • Participate in case conferences and care coordination efforts to ensure continuity of care for patients with complex needs.

  4. Documentation and Compliance:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with regulatory standards and clinic policies.
    • Stay informed about federal and state regulations related to healthcare and FQHC requirements.

  5. Community Engagement:
    • Actively engage with the local community to promote health and well-being through educational programs, outreach events, and partnerships with community organizations.

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a Family Medicine residency program.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
  • Current and unrestricted medical license in [State].
  • DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration.
  • Strong commitment to providing compassionate and culturally sensitive care.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based care model.
  • Experience working in a community health center or FQHC (preferred but not required).

Outside the office, she and her husband are busy raising their two kids. Weekends are spent on the football field or baseball field for her son, or at cheerleading and swimming meets for her daughter.
