The LVN will function within the legal parameters and scope of practice for an LVN and function within the policy and procedure guidelines of the clinic. The home base for the LVN will be located Downtown in the Bussiness District of Houston.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

JOB SUMMARY:

The multi-site LVN will be a clinical leader for Medical Assistants at 5 locations. The LVN will model quality care of pediatric, family, and obstetric patients. The home base for the LVN will be located Downtown in the Bussiness District of Houston.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as vaccination coordinator for the Vaccine for Children’s (VFC) Program and point person for Immtrac Vaccine Registry.
- Serve as a clinical trainer to Medical Assistants at 5 clinic sites observing clinical competencies and checking off skills: training on Infection Control, Patient rooming, ambulatory care clinical policies & procedures.
- Supervise Medical Assistants at 5 clinic sites.
- Monitors receipt of labs and submission of reportable disease documentation.
- Assists procurement team with standardizing medical inventory.
- Participates in auditing infection control, CLIA quality control, emergency supply kits, and MA clinical documentation.
- As needed, assists with patient care, medical procedures, patient screening (vital signs, vision & hearing, point of care tests, patient flow throughout clinic) and patient discharge utilizing age-appropriate care.
- Participates in quality assurance projects.
- Attend on-site/off-site community engagement activities, clinic events, and/or training as needed;
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Clinic’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Licenced as (LVN), (BLS)
- Certification as Vaccines for Children
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
- Supply and Inventory
- Microsoft Word
- Communication Skills
- Analytical
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to travel to satellite sites and/or off-site locations for support/assignments, events or training as needed;
- Proof of liability and property damage insurance on the vehicle used is required.
