Job Description
​Nurse
Practitioner/Physician Assistant, Adolescent Health
We are seeking an experienced nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join
an Established Community Clinic dedicated clinical team in the heart of Austin, Texas. Their team values relationships, professional growth, and ensuring
health access for all young individuals. This role will be based at our
school-based health center (Manor Mustang Health Clinic) and our Center for
Adolescent Health, serving patients from infants through young adults.
Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities:
- Bilingual in
English/Spanish preferred.
- Proficient in the theory
and practice of medical care relevant to the practice.
- Familiar with basic
clinic practices, techniques, and operational methods.
- Knowledgeable in public
and community health service practices.
- Adherence to professional
and ethical standards of patient-centered care.
- Competence in charting,
reading medical histories, assessing laboratory results, and maintaining
accurate medical records.
- Skilled in using basic
medical examination and assessment instruments.
- Strong oral and written communication
skills.
- Effective problem
identification and resolution capabilities.
- Excellent time management
skills.
- Ability to apply complex
procedures and methods within a specialized field.
- Proficient in maintaining
productive working relationships with physicians and colleagues.
- Flexibility and
adaptability in a dynamic environment.

independently following protocols.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BS or
BA) with graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.
- Minimum of two years'
experience as a NP or PA in a primary care facility, preferably serving a
diverse patient population.
- CPR certification is required.

Be able to obtain certification
or currently be certified to practice as a nurse practitioner or physician
assistant in the State of Texas.
