Title: Family Practice Physician MD/DO
Reports To: Chief Medical Officer
Summary:
Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, the MD/DO
will provide professional medical services in the Federally Qualified Health
Center (FQHC). HAHC staff provides quality medical care and dental services to
patients.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs physical examinations of new and
existing patients and determines x-ray examinations and clinical laboratory
tests required.
·     Â
Interprets examination findings and test results
and implements treatment plans.
·     Â
Prepares and reviews case histories and obtains
data through interviews.
·     Â
Provides continuing, comprehensive health
maintenance and medical care to the entire family, including preventive
medicine, behavioral sciences, and community health.
·     Â
Directs outpatient, inpatient care, and
services; participates in the established on-call group.
·     Â
Promote patient-centered care through a team
approach, with emphasis on quality and safety.
·     Â
Participates in surgical, obstetrical,
gynecological, and critical care procedures according to training and
demonstrated ability.
·     Â
Determines need for consultation and assists in
medical care treatment provided at the direction of other specialists.
·     Â
Personnel in a variety of health-related topics,
including first-aid measures, basic and advanced cardiac life support, and
health care maintenance.
·     Â
May teach family practice residents and medical students.
·     Â
Other clinical duties and responsibilities as
assigned by the Chief Medical Officer.
Qualifications:
·       Â
Graduation from a college or university
accredited by the American Medical Association with a Doctor of Medicine Degree
·       Â
Successful completion of an approved program of
residency training in family practice
·       Â
Knowledge of the principles and practice of
preventative medicine
·       Â
Knowledge of the state and federal laws
pertaining to medicine and HHS-HRSA regulations of community health centers.
·       Â
Ability to work independently and make
appropriate clinical decisions reflecting professional confidence and integrity
·       Â
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective
working relationships with other employees, patients, and the general public
·       Â
Ability to effectively communicate with
patients, their families, and staff
·       Â
Computer efficiency and understanding of
Electronic Health Records (EHR)
License/Certification:
·       Â
License to practice in the State of Pennsylvania
·       Â
CPR/AED Certification
·     Board Certification in family practice plus
current DEA registration​
