Overview
Join a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing high-quality outpatient psychiatric care to underserved communities in Harker Heights, Texas. This role offers a mix of in-person and telehealth services, strong clinical support, and the opportunity to build a meaningful, long-term patient panel.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management
- Utilize DSM-5-TR for assessment and treatment planning
- Deliver care in both in-person and telehealth settings
- Collaborate with patients to develop individualized, goal-oriented care plans
- Practice within a trauma-informed, integrated behavioral health model
- Coordinate care with community partners and emergency services when needed
- Participate in limited after-hours on-call rotation (1–2 times per year)
- Document care efficiently using electronic health records
Qualifications
- Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Active, unrestricted Texas license
- Experience or strong interest in working with underserved populations
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating within a team
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient with EHR systems and telehealth platforms

Born and raised in Washougal, WA, Carter moved across the river to Portland, OR, to attend the Portland State University. He is pursuing his undergraduate degree in Human Resources Management and expected to graduate in June of 2025. Growing up in a large family, he was provided with a vibrant sense of community and importance through shared experiences, support systems, and diverse personalities. Carter has always been passionate to help underserved communities and making a positive impact on people's lives. He is excited to be part of UHC Solutions to continue developing new skills, build relationships, and work as a team to continue to make a positive difference.
Outside of the office, Carter can be found with family and friends, tending to his animals, out in the wilderness camping, cheering on the Portland Pickles and Portland Winterhawks, and floating the Washougal River.
