As a Family Physician at AccessHealth, you will provide comprehensive medical services to patients of all ages and genders. Your commitment to providing safe, efficient, and effective clinical care will be essential.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Conduct thorough patient examinations to identify diseases and establish preventive health practices.
§ Document patients’ medical history.
§ Order and interpret various tests and diagnostic images to assess patient conditions.
§ Analyze test results and make accurate diagnoses.
§ Administer treatments and prescribe medications.
§ Promote overall health by providing valuable advice to patients.
§ Determines the need for modified diet and physical activities and recommends plan.
§ Inoculates and vaccinates patients to immunize patients from communicable diseases.
§ Performs surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency.
§ Refers patient to other medical specialists for consultant services when necessary for the patient’s well-being.
§ Oversees, reviews, supervises and acts in a preceptor role to family practice residents.
§ Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein as may be assigned or delegated.
Education/Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
§ Licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners as a physician.
§ Board eligibility in Family Practice or Internal Medicine; board certification desirable.
Skills and Experience:
§ At least one year of experience in the area of practice.
§ High ethical standards.
§ Well-organized and self-directed.
§ Team player.
§ Ability to relate to culturally diverse patients and community.
§ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
§ Excellent communication skills; ability to speak enough Spanish to examine Spanish-speaking patients and converse on a basic level strongly preferred.
