Overview

The Psychiatrist provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and consultation services within an integrated primary care and behavioral health setting. This role supports both pediatric and adult patients through person-centered, trauma-informed, and coordinated care. Working collaboratively with primary care providers, behavioral health clinicians, and care managers, the Psychiatrist plays a key role in managing complex mental health conditions and improving whole-person outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and adults
  • Diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide medication management, including initiation, monitoring, and adjustment of psychiatric medications
  • Offer psychiatric consultation and treatment recommendations to primary care and behavioral health providers
  • Participate in same-day behavioral health access and timely evaluations
  • Manage complex and high-risk patients requiring ongoing psychiatric care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated, whole-person care
  • Provide consultation for substance use disorder treatment, including medication-assisted treatment when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in the electronic health record
  • Participate in program development, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary case reviews
  • Support trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and patient-centered care
  • Maintain licensure, certification, and continuing education requirements
