The Dental Clinical Director (DCD) provides strategic leadership, vision, and oversight for the clinical services for one of the largest mobile charity dental programs in the country.

As a member of the Dental Leadership Team, the Director ensures that high-quality, best-practice, and compassionate dental care is delivered to students at Title I elementary schools in Central Texas. The DCD leads the clinical team, develops and enforces clinical standards, supports community partnerships, and ensures compliance with all regulatory and professional requirements.

In collaboration with the VP of Community Programs and the Senior Dental Operations Officer the DCD provides strategic direction for the Dental Program, including strategic planning, continuous improvement, and innovation in evidence-based models of care and utilization of technology.

Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership, Oversight, and Quality Care Delivery (60%)

·      Provide strategic direction for clinical programs that advance the mission of the Foundation to promote health equity.

A Day in the Life

Your role includes:

• Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and medication management
• Longer appointment times: 60-minute intake sessions and 45-minute follow-ups
• Consultation with pediatricians, PCPs, and behavioral health clinicians to guide treatment plans
• Crisis intervention and suicide risk assessments when needed
• Participation in treatment teams, quality initiatives, and supervision/teaching opportunities

A Day in the Life

In this role, you will care for youth and young adults within an integrated, team-based model that includes pediatricians, primary care providers, and behavioral health clinicians. Psychiatrists are supported with protected time for thorough evaluations and follow-ups rather than high-volume, short appointments. Care is delivered through Epic EHR with workflows that fully integrate behavioral health and primary care.




Compensation & Benefits

• Annual Salary: Starting at approximately $301,000 for Board-Certified psychiatrists, with a structured, tiered model based on experience and tenure (aligned with $144.71–$203.85/hr). This ensures competitive compensation for both early-career and experienced Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists.
• Performance Bonus: 10% annually, beginning after year one

Duties and responsibilities of an adult medicine provider:




Summary: Provides comprehensive medical services, including physical examination, primary care, acute treatment, preventative care, STD screening (including prescribing PrEP & PEP), immunization management, medication prescribing, Lab testing, and interpretation.

Solano County's Behavioral Health mission is to provide mental health services and support in Solano County that are person-centered, safe, effective, efficient, timely and equitable, that are supported by friends and community, that promote wellness/recovery, and that fully incorporate shared decision making between consumers, family members and providers. Solano County Behavioral Health dedicates itself to the care of Solano residents to help them remain in the community so that they can progress in their recovery and benefit from natural supports, avoiding institutionalization.

Behavioral Health provides psychiatric services to Solano Community in an integrated health care environment in three adult and child outpatient clinics located in Vallejo, Fairfield, and Vacaville.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Obtain medical, social and developmental histories.
• Perform physical exams and immunizations on all patients.
• Initiate laboratory exams and studies as indicated.
• Provide health education and counseling.
• Management of all acute and chronic illnesses to and above community standards at all times.
• Consult with and Refer to appropriate specialist in regards to high risk or complex patients.
• Management of services in accordance with established Clinic’s policies/procedures and contracted services under CHDP, Managed Medical Care and other medical programs and guidelines.
• Exercise judgment in establishing priorities of medical care in triage situations.
• Participation in Clinic’s Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) program.
• Provide case management with other health care team members.
• Provide consultations to other Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Medical Assistant
• Maintain a positive working relationship with staff.
• Other duties as designated by the Medical Director or Executive Director.




Minimum Requirements

The Physician works in a collaborative effort across all departments to remove barriers for accessing healthcare. The Physician must incorporate health center policies (including quality assurance) into their clinical practice to provide quality care commensurate with training and licensure. This position also provides oversight of clinical support staff (i.e. Midlevel Practitioners, Medical Assistants and Nursing staff) and handles operational issues on the clinical floor to ensure continuity of services and a smooth patient flow. Delivers culturally sensitive appropriate care for an outpatient, primary care health center with a multicultural, multilingual patient population.

1. Must be in possession of a valid license to practice in the State of California, including DEA license, and CPR.

4. Demonstrated ability to build the trust and respect of patients, staff, colleagues, external contacts, and other organizational members.

Summary:

Duties/Responsibilities:


·       Performs physical examinations of new and existing patients and determines x-ray examinations and clinical laboratory tests required.

·       Interprets examination findings and test results and implements treatment plans.

·       Prepares and reviews case histories and obtains data through interviews.

·       Provides continuing, comprehensive health maintenance and medical care to the entire family, including preventive medicine, behavioral sciences, and community health.

·       Directs outpatient, inpatient care, and services; participates in the established on-call group.

·       Promote patient-centered care through a team approach, with emphasis on quality and safety.

·       Participates in surgical, obstetrical, gynecological, and critical care procedures according to training and demonstrated ability.

·       Determines need for consultation and assists in medical care treatment provided at the direction of other specialists.

·       Personnel in a variety of health-related topics, including first-aid measures, basic and advanced cardiac life support, and health care maintenance.

Qualifications:

·         Graduation from a college or university accredited by the American Medical Association with a Doctor of Medicine Degree

·         Knowledge of the state and federal laws pertaining to medicine and HHS-HRSA regulations of community health centers.
